The meeting was called to order by Faithful Navigator Charles McCosky at 7:30pm. The opening ceremonies were observed and prayers offered. The Faithful Comptroller called the roll of the officers. Present and absent were noted. The Minutes of the preceding meeting were read. A motion was made and the minutes were approved.

Committee Reports:
A status was given by SK Moe Esker. Sales have been underway at St. Williams for two weeks and St. Patrick’s, St. John Vianney’s and Santa Barbara Church for one week and sales are proceeding well. The Assembly obtained (thru consignment) 67 cases of nuts and the objective is to sell all them with hopes for upsides sales. It was requested that the Assembly make a partial payment to show the supplier good faith in the event there was an upside request for more cases. A motion was made to send $4,000 to the supplier, was seconded and voted in favor.
Reading of applications after referrals:
The new fourth degree applications of Edward Tydings and Lucero Cesario were discussed and a motion was made to accept them as 4th degree candidates. The motion was seconded and voted in favor.
Unfinished Business:
The Annual Clergy Appreciation event is scheduled for February 28, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel by the Highland Mall. Admission is $20 per person. Both the State Deputy and Bishop Gregory Aymond will be present. A deadline has been set for 2/1/2008 to get the final count for this event. Please communicate this to your councils. Any questions, please contact FN Charles McCosky. In addition, a correction was noted that in the past meeting, our FN requested that the Assembly present colors at this event which was in error. Instead, the FN’s of the five Assemblies will present colors. S.K. Moe Esker was requested to bring the flags to this event.

New Business:
1. Congratulations to S.K. David Orolfo on his new position as the District Deputy.
2. Last year after a brief December Assembly meeting, a Christmas party was held and the occasion was a success enjoyed by both the Knights and their wives. A motion was made to have another this year at the December Assembly meeting with the cost of meat, wine and beer to be covered by the Assembly but not to exceed $400. The motion was seconded and voted in favor. Our FN requested that each Knight brings a side dish as follows (using your last name’s initial):
A thru G - Bring a salad
H thru N – Bring a vegetable dish
O thru T – Bring a ‘starch’
U thru Z – Bring a dessert
Our FC James Barger will send out a separate note to the members as a reminder.
3. FN received a letter from seminarian David Trahan in thanking the Knights for the support he received from the Assembly.
4. There was a Veteran’s Day parade held locally and the Knights were well represented. Our FN noted that many applause were given for the Knights during the parade.
Report of the 3rd Degree:
1. Following are the next exemplifications:
a. Major Degree Exemplification on 1/12/08 at St. Catherine of Siena
Registration begins at 7:30am, Mass at 9:00am, Exemplification at 10:00am
b. 1st Degree Exemplification on 11/18/07 at 2:00pm at SPJST Hall near St. John Vianney Church.
c. Spanish 1st Degree on 11/29/07 at the KOC Hall at Sacred Heart of Austin

2. Councils are being encouraged to recruit candidates for 1st Degree.
3. If you have any Scout leaders at your church or members of your councils, they should be encouraged to have their scouts obtain the St. Christopher Emblem Award. For more information, please contact S.K. Moe Esker.
4. All councils in District 119 are members of the Austin Chapter and should be paying their $50 annual dues by sending to S.K. Mike Moreno, 12212 Barrel Bend, Austin TX 78748. For more information, please contact S.K. Moe Esker.
5. All councils should have supported their respective seminarians for the 2007 fall semester and then before the forthcoming spring term in 2008 (targeting financial support before January 2008).
6. A letter of appreciation was received by the Assembly from Cox Elementary School in Leander for the Knights’ ceremony on Veteran’s Day.
7. A plaque was prepared by the KOC to be given to the wife of the deceased Knight John Diner. It was proposed by our FN that the next exemplification be held in honor of S.K. John Diner. FN Charles McCosky will follow-up on this proposal.
8. On 10/14/2007, four of our Brother Knights received the title of ‘Knight of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.’ Congratulations to Deacon John O’Neil, S.K. Faustyn Langowski, S.K. William Harris and S.K. Moe Esker.
Good of the Order:
Prayers were offered for Robert Lazinsky, Alice McCosky, the Men and Women in Uniform serving in Afghanistan, Bill Rankin, and Faustyn Langowski.

The closing ceremonies were observed. There was no other business before the Assembly and the meeting was adjourned.
